Curriculum Development

  • I led and activelycontributed to the initial accreditation for the newly proposed inter-disciplinaryundergraduate programme: Computer Science with two concentrations ArtificialIntelligence (CS-AI) and Software Engineering (CS-SE), at The BritishUniversity in Dubai. Programme went into effect in August 2012. BUiD currentlyis not running any undergraduate programmes. The new award degrees will be forfour years (Foundation + three years) in collaboration with University of Edinburgh. A new program structure is introduced with collective and breakdownsof learning outcomes, syllabus, assessment, etc. I designed the program in acost-effective manner, such that the initial two and a half years for theawards are the same with a possibility that some electives from one concentrationcan be used from the other, while maintaining rigour and quality.
  • I served as an active contributor to the finally accredited of MSc in Informatics (knowledge and data management) at The British University in Dubai. Programme went into effect in July 2010. I was responsible for designing 50% of the MSc modules. By the end of the academic year 2010/2011, I would have developed new materials for these modules.
